MY APOLOGIES

I would like to begin this post expressing my sincerest apologies to anyone who has tried to contact me within the last 2-3 years. My blog has been inactive ever since I entered college, causing me to become busy with schoolwork, events, and other projects. I am SO sorry for my irresponsibility in running this blog- I really should have written a post or noted on my profile that I went inactive for a couple of years!! I feel terrible for not responding to any of your e-mails- I actually was finally able to log on to my account today and saw so many unread messages from the past. Again, please forgive me for my ignorance and lack of organization- if anyone is still looking for shoe commissions, you can now contact me on my newly created blogger account emilyamcbeth.blogspot.com. This new blog also features my other artwork, such as tattoo designs, chalkboard lettering, and mural painting. I'd be more than happy to do any of these different types of projects for you guys, including the shoes! However, my next semester of college will begin this September, where I will be less active on my account and might be slower to responding to e-mails. But I will try my best to check up on my blog as much as possible! Especially since my account is now linked to my phone.
Thank you so so so much for your understanding, and I am sorry if I have upset anyone. Hope you all are having a lovely day, and feel free to contact me on my new account!
Blessings,
Emily

New sketches for shoe designs

Because last summer was quite hectic, and school business began immediately after, I haven't updated my blog in forever. But hopefully I'll be more active in the next few months!

During my downtime, I have resorted to drawing whatever's on my mind. Here are some of my recent sketches (I apologize for some of the horrible iPhone quality images), which might possibly appear on a shoe near you:

A little design for a little shoe

Another Hawaiian-themed design I did for my friend's birthday. Her feet are so tiny; she wears a size five! Very simplistic but a joy to decorate. It's about time I've painted another pair. :)

Tale as old as time...

This was the first pair of non-TOMS shoes I decorated... they were Vans! Painted on the Vans are "Beauty & the Beast" stain glass images. This is NOT my original design... I merely copied it from an existing pair for a friend of a friend who adored the look of the shoes. Here is the site for the original: http://wenuwishuponastar.deviantart.com/art/Beauty-and-the-Beast-Shoes-139375075
The friend found the shoes on tumblr and wanted a similar pair for her birthday, so that's what I ended up doing. :D This was all freehand with pencil, then sharpie, then acrylic paint. I ADORE the original design and the artistic talent of the girl who painted the Beauty & the Beast Vans... I could never replicate something as stunning as the original!

I finally decided to test out my manual setting on my Nikon D3000... the images above are results of my test :)

A purple heart and a red rose

Yet another pair of red TOMS... and with a rose on it, nonetheless! :)

The purple heart with the "love" stitching was a nice touch!

Bringing Hawai'i to California

A Hawaiian-inspired shoe for a friend of a friend. It was for their birthday, so I raced against the clock to finish them! I really loved painting on the hibiscus... the yellow and pink mixed very nicely. :)

This was also the month that I bought my Nikon D3000 SLR camera... I was still testing out the settings, so these pictures I believe are on auto.

Phantom number two

The girl who received the "Phantom of the Opera" TOMS had a friend who wanted the same style, only with giant "P's" on the toes. So that's exactly what I set out to do. :)
